I don't know where this year is going. I do know I've been a very busy bee!
As we approach Samhain, or Halloween, it's a time to look back and think about what serves us to carry forward, and what we are better off leaving behind.
I don't know about you, but this year has been testing for all manner of reasons, and it continues to be so. The world is a very difficult place right now.
It's for this reason that looking after our minds is so important. Many external factors could easily pull our mood down into a place where it can be quite hard to get through the day. And the thing is, we must get through the day. We must, get through today, so we can do good tomorrow. The world needs us to lift each other, to make art and to share art. To get people thinking differently, to help others realise truths in the world, and the power we all have to make it better for everyone. It's essential work in such times.
And that can only happen if you're mind is in the right place to do it.
So, I'm sharing more articles to the Mind Matters Blog to help look after our minds.
I'm sharing more art exercises to the Brush Hour Blog to help inspire more into art.
I've also been working on some new tags so you can find your way around the blogs easier. That's a work in progress but I'm getting there!
I'm working on some more art which will be for sale at some point in the shop (shop sales go a long way to funding my time so I can keep sharing helpful stuff for free). I'm expanding on the existing print on demand range with some of my own paintings, and I'm super excited to start experimenting with some lino printing with metallic embellishments.
I am still learning more about art therapy and life coaching so I can eventually run sessions for people. I'm finding the ideas really helpful for content in my blogs and for future art pieces too.
I am working on plans for a youtube channel to share my philosophical wittering and add more free helpful stuff in the mix. I've had some good ideas popping up in my brain of late, perspectives that have really helped improve my mood, my confidence and my motivation. I want to share that wealth with as many people as possible.
I do wish I could move faster, but whilst juggling a job, my little one and keeping on top of the house, it's hard to spend as much time on this as I would like. It's slow and steady, and definitely going in the right direction This is what I want to be doing full time and it's only a matter of time before that happens.
My aim isn't to make lots of money, lets get that clear. I want to help people first and foremost. If I can make enough money to keep us fed and housed, and have the time to help people, then that's the dream.
Big thanks to you, my audience. I see you on the socials and on this site. I love how the numbers and interactions are growing organically, and interest is increasing. I really feel that this truly aligns with my purpose in life, and I'm going to take this and run with it. You just watch me!
