The Birdy & Bright Community Space is here! If you're on facebook, come join our lovely little space to talk about art and mental health right here!
When I first set up my shop, the plan was to sell my art and promote positivity in the process. Oof, that was a mouthful.
It occurred to me very quickly that I had an opportunity here, to contribute something in the conversation of looking after our mental health. I could use platform as a space for people to talk about art, and with it their mental health. I lean, I am still running a shop, by why not both? Why not do something helpful?
How do different art works make you feel? If you're a creative type, how does art help you manage your mental health? If you don't think you're creative have you ever thought about giving it a go? What about music? Poetry? Crafting? They can all be really positive tools to help make sense of our thoughts.
Anyway, I've got the site, the socials (fb, insta and tiktok at the mo), but today marks the launch of the Birdy & Bright Community Space fb group. It's a private group, where people can get comfy and share things that make them happy, and talk when they need to. What song got you our of bed today and why? What do you draw when you need to chill?
Share your resources, and your conversation. Share a painting you've been working on that is helping you process something. Share a image you saw today that resonated and share why. Empathy, kindness and compassion is a must. Let's make this space a lovely little dopamine den where people can get some nice vibes in this difficult world.
See you soon!
