I've been working on this site for a couple of weeks now, and although it's not live just yet, I thought I'd write a little something in way of an introduction to me and what I'm hoping to do with Birdy & Bright.
I love a good quote. I've a mixed background with my finger in lots of different pies. I do so love words and art. I'm full of ideas, and wanted to set up a platform to share them in the form of prints, tshirts, mugs, that sort of thing.
I'm a big fan of positivity. I think it's a powerful tool to help our mental health and general life experience. I think it's infectious and easy to spread to others (in the nicest possible way). That said I'm not a big fan of the 'live laugh love' sort of slogans that have been milling around the last few years. I prefer something with a bit of weight, a bit of tongue in cheek to it, maybe a little silliness. I don't think my offerings will be for everyone, but I'm hoping that for those that do like them, they really like them.
My plan is to get this up and running with a few designs, then I'll add more as inspiration takes me. I am also planning to run a few limited releases where a percentage of sales go to relevant charities. It will be nice to utilise the platform for a little good, as well as preaching it!
