This one is a bit special. It's a self portrait from a few months ago. My mum had not long passed and I'd just given birth to my little one. Painting this helped me make sense of how I could simultaneously feel so empty, yet so full of creation, one of life's brilliant puzzles! In times like this, there is no other way to be than your true self, and I think this painting reflects that. It's imperfect, but then so am I. I have flaws. You have flaws. We're trying. Take us as we are.
